The Puja which was at Trulshik Rinpoches Monastery

Written by Druk Gawa Khilwa Abbey I apologies that I couldn’t do a website update for so long, as we were moving our website to some other company. Yesterday was the last day of Throma Nagmo Retreat by Drukpa Americas and at last they did Mandala offering to Holiness. The teachings started on 17th of October and finished at 25th of October.
We feel that we all are very lucky to have a chance to come to Vietnam with Holiness and we are also thankful Drukpa Vietnam to arrange our trip. As know most of the nuns here are from small villages in Himalayas. So most of us had never been in an airplane and it was very exciting for us and little bit scary too.

In our nunnery we have a coffee shop, souvenir shop, guest house and a small canteen. In these places all the work is done by the nuns. Here are some words written by the nuns from Druk Coffee shop, Thrinley Shingta Souvenir shop, Guest House and canteen.

Today we did a puja known as Shithro (the 100 deities puja). It was done by the nuns and Holiness also joined in the puja. We are performing this puja for the first time in our nunnery. It is a new text taught by Holiness. The puja was performed for whole day.

Nuns learning the dragon dance and also progressing in kungfu. The dragon dance is also a part of kungfu. The dance would be performed by 50 nuns in the 3rd Annual Drukpa Council.

These days we have big puja on every Saturday. Now nunnery is closed for the rest of the week and only opened on Saturday for the general public. Today we performed Kangling Shithro. Kangling Shithro is also deity puja.

There were some nuns who cleaned the water tank. They cleaned it very nicely. First they emptied the tank and then they went in to clean. This tank is situated under our main parking. We keep cleaning the water tank so that we could have clean water. There some photos which I took inside the tank while the nuns were cleaning the tank.

We received here in our Office in Druk Amitabha Mountain some pictures from our nuns in Ladakh who are working on the preparations for the 3rd ADC. As you may know, around 180 nuns from DGK Abbey in Nepal have gone to Ladakh for the 3rd ADC. They are working hard everyday to get the site ready at the Naro Potang where some events and sessions of the 3rd ADC will be held this year in August.

These days most of the nuns in our nunnery have gone to Ladakh. There are 80 nuns who are back here. The nuns who are here do gardening in the retreat center. All the nuns go the retreat center and do work.

Lama Chodpa (offering for the guru)

The 13 kora after the long life prayer
Written by Druk Gawa Khilwa Abbey Today we did 13 kora in Swayambhu. We woke up at 1 am and walked down and started the kora at 2. With Holiness all the nuns, monks and the sanga people joined the kora. Holiness was heading the kora. After the kora finished we went up to the Rangjung Stupa. On the Stupa we did some prayer. We also burned lamps all around Stupa.

Today the birthday celebration was a very grand one. There were many people who were here to wish Holiness. We had 3 days of long life prayer and on 15th it was Holinesses birthday. Everything for birthday and long life prayer was sponsored by Drukpa Asia. In the morning time we had puja in Naro hall.

The 3rd Annual Zangchod Boom was started on 18th and finished on 20th. The Zangchod Boom was organized by Sendrak Shabshu Tsokpa. On 20th we had a long life prayer for Holiness and Sendrak Rinpoche.
