We went for outing for some days to Chitwan and Pokhara. It was a very nice journey. We enjoyed a lot. In Chitwan we went for elephant ride in the jungle. We stayed there for 1 night and 2 days. In Chitwan some of the village boys performed their cultural dance.

Yesterday evening was the opening of drum house. We all gathered up near the huge flag pole and did some ritual prayers. The drum is a very huge drum which specifies the growth of the lineage.

Today we celebrated Sendrak Rinpoche’s birthday. He was looking very happy. His parents and relatives came to wish Him. We had a short puja for the birthday celebrations in the temple.

Today was a small khatak offering ceremony to Gen Otsal in the temple. Gen Otsal is the new Head Manager of Hemis and the monasteries under Hemis. Nuns also offered Him some gifts and all the nuns offered khatak to greet Him Tashi Delek.

Today is the last day of initiations in our nunnery. We all are preparing for the Ganachakra (tsog). The initiation will finish today. The initiation was given by Holinesses Uncle Moktsa Rinpoche. We did a grand mandala offering to Moktsa Rinpoche.

Every day we wake up at 3:00 clock and go to sleep at 10pm. Early in the morning we do meditation and learn Tibetan text from 3am. After that at 6am we go to morning tsokpa (performing the Tibetan rituals) and then when the tsokpa is finished we all have our breakfast at 8.

As you all know Amitabha is very big and needs to be maintained properly. So nuns are always busy doing something or the other in our nunnery. Today they are painting the statue area which was getting old and after the painting the area is looking very nice. View some more photos.

The 3rd Annual Zangchod Bum will start on:-
Tibetan Calendar: 14th to 17th Jan
Western Calendar: 18th to 21th March
Zangchod bum means (A hundred thousand "King of Aspiration Prayer"). The prayers will be held at Buddha park in Swayambhu.

Tomorrow is the first day of Duddul Phurpa Tsokpa. The nuns are doing the preprations for the tsokpa. They are making chodpa(spiritual cake) for the puja and preparing for the kilkhor.

Today is the last day of Duddul Phurpa Practice. Everything finished successfully. The practice was performed for 4 days.

The road construction work has been done very successfully. Now the road looks very nice. Before there were many problems for transport but now its easy to take any kind of car. Its not finished yet but then also it is very smooth and it will soon finished.

Today is the second day of the long life prayer. The nuns performed a Dharma dance in the temple. After the lunch there is Nam-gyalma (Long Life Puja) and in the evening there is Mahakala Lhamo Tor-gya Puja. There will be dinner in the recess and after the dinner the Mahakala will start again. After the Mahakala finishes it will be the time to take rest for everybody.

The eye camp started on 9th and it was successfully finished on 12th. All the nuns helped the patients and took care of the patients. There were about 45 nuns helping the patients. The nuns helped the patients very nicely. There were about 245 patients who were operated and all of the patients were very happy to come out of the dark. We all are very thankful to all the sponsors for the help they did to the patients.
