The nuns manage a 22-room guest house that provides opportunities to guests who wish to have a glimpse of their daily spiritual life. Druk Amitabha Mountain is a sanctuary of meditative peace and tranquility, and the Guest House is for everyone who desires to take a short break from his or her busy life to come and experience moments of joyful stillness by staying here. From the windows of most of the rooms, there is a magnificent view of the Kathmandu valley and the Swayambhunath Stupa.
The nuns strongly suggest you leave behind all the modern technologies when you are up there to join them all in the discovery of your own nature.
Your support of their guest house gives them the possibility that one day they will be able to sustain their own livelihood without over relying on donations.
The rooms at their guest house are very much in demand during the spring and winter. Many spiritual groups stay with them for 2 to 4 weeks for retreat and for rejuvenating their inner peace.
Prices are from around £30 per night for a deluxe suite to £7 per night for single room. Meals are not included.
